I worked with product design and data science to develop a New User Sign Up experience for Facebook Groups. This Sign Up flow gives people the ability to create a Facebook group, add members and connect a Page to the group.
The Approach 
A key deliverable was improving the voice and tone of the directional copy throughout the sign up process. The original copy was written in a passive voice which didn't drive users to complete the sign up process. Working with data science, we were able to determine that 30% of new users were dropping off and opting out of completing sign up around the 6th screen.
Shifting micro copy to an active voice provided more direction and incentive for the user to complete the sign up process. Additionally, we incorporated buttons for the user to continue the sign up task later instead of completely opting out of sign up to improve retention. We included a loader to each screen so the user had context for where there were in the sign up process.
